FOLLOWING JESUS
A Journey Worth Taking
Following Jesus is a journey worth taking, and no matter where you are on the path—curious, committed, or anywhere in between—you’re invited to join in.
At Crossroads, our purpose is to see lives transformed through loving relationships with Jesus, each other, and those who don’t know Jesus yet.
Enjoy the journey!

TO MEET JESUS MEANS TO BECOME ACQUAINTED WITH HIM AND HIS TEACHINGS—THROUGH A FRIEND, THE BIBLE, CHURCH, NATURE, PODCASTS, OR PRAYER.
What the Bible Says:
Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, was one of these men who heard what John said and then followed Jesus. Andrew went to find his brother, Simon, and told him, “We have found the Messiah” (which means “Christ”). Then Andrew brought Simon to meet Jesus. —John 1:40-42a
We invite you to join a 6-week small group
study “What is a Christian?” by Francis Chan. Each week you will watch a 15-minute video and discuss what you’ve learned. Topics include: Who is God? Who is Jesus? What makes humans unique? What went wrong? Who is the Spirit? And, what is a Christian?

TO KNOW JESUS IS TO PERSONALLY COMMIT TO HIM AND PRIORITIZE YOUR LIFE AROUND HIM.
What the Bible Says:
And this is the way to have eternal life—to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth. —John 17:3
We invite you to take an important next step:
- Be baptized: Go public with your faith in Jesus.
- Join a Life Group: Where people do life together with Jesus at the center.
- Join Re/Engage: A marriage enrichment program.
- Attend a Men’s or Women’s Bible Study: To learn more about Jesus.
- Join a healing or support group for recovery: Allowing Jesus to enter the messy part of your life.

TO SHARE JESUS IS TO TELL YOUR STORY OF FAITH TO OTHERS.
What the Bible Says:
Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” —Matthew 28:18-20
We invite you to attend a workshop
“Sharing Jesus with Others” where you will learn practical tools to share your faith in conversations with family, friends, coworkers, and neighbors.
We also invite you to serve on local or global outreach teams to share your love of Jesus with others.

TO SERVE JESUS IS TO USE YOUR GOD-GIVEN GIFTS TO BLESS OTHERS.
What the Bible Says:
God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another. —1 Peter 4:10
We invite you to get involved:
- Attend the “Joining Crossroads” class to understand Crossroads’ beliefs and opportunities to serve.
- Find your place to serve based on your gifts, including working with children, youth, those in recovery, greeting, Life Groups, ushering, safety team, worship team, and more.

TO BE LIKE JESUS IS TO TAKE ON THE HEART AND CHARACTER OF JESUS IN DAILY LIFE.
What Jesus said:
So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples. —John 13:34-35
We invite you to join an 8-week small group
studying the book “Practicing the Way” by John Mark Comer. You will watch a short video and discuss with others about best practices for how to reorder your life around Jesus – and follow Him with all your heart.
